Mobile Floor for Mataf · Meca

In order to increase the number of pilgrims visiting the holy Masjid Al-Haram Mosque in Mecca each year, a bypass with three entrances has been built in the central part of the square surrounding the Kaaba. The new construction accommodates up to 130,000 pilgrims per hour, while the capacity of the previous Mataf was 52,000 pilgrims.

MCI Group has been the company in charge of carrying out the entire lighting project for the new structure. For this purpose, the R+D+i Department has designed and developed several models of totally custom-made luminaires that integrate perfectly into the architecture, without altering its design.

Line Grazers®: These Line Grazers® have been placed on special supports and with different formats, type D and type C, and have been installed around the lower part of the ring road and serve to illuminate the pilgrims passing underneath it. – The Farolas F are installed on the outside of the ring road, and on the three entrance bridges. These lanterns are used to illuminate only the pilgrims who walk around the ring road. They have a power consumption of 240W and a total of 48 units have also been installed.

Masjid al-Haram is the most important mosque in the city of Mecca and the first holy place of Islam.
