First Starbucks store in Paraguay designed to create a warm and welcoming space rooted in local traditions and coffee heritage.
The 2,153-square-foot store features elements inspired by the history of the Guaraní people and pays homage to the unique local culture, including a custom mural by local artist Oz Montanía. Through his artwork, Montanía tells the story of Iara, the ‘Mother of Waters’ in local folklore. Montanía shared that this character is a deity who protects the rivers and their creatures. The Siren rests peacefully, holding a coffee branch while guarding the local marine life around her.
Hofflights‘ lighting has been essential in highlighting and enhancing these carefully crafted elements. Their lighting approach not only emphasizes the beauty of the mural and other details inspired by Guaraní culture, but also creates an immersive atmosphere that reflects and celebrates the richness of the local heritage. The lighting transforms every corner of the store into a visually striking experience, connecting visitors with history and tradition in a unique and vibrant way.
