For this project by Stone Designs, inspired by the Japanese concept of “Kanso,” Grupo MCI designed a lighting concept that perfectly complements the vibrant color palette of the space, dominated by greens, wood tones, and touches of pink and red. The goal was to encourage interaction between guests in the heart of Madrid.
To create a warm, enveloping atmosphere, we installed Linear Flex by MCI Light, providing a soft backlighting effect. This indirect lighting subtly washes over surfaces, enhancing the surrounding colors and creating a welcoming, visually comfortable environment.
In the common areas, we integrated the Tokyo spotlights by Hofflights as a versatile solution. With their “Switch, Zoom & Dim” technology, we tailored the lighting to the specific needs of each space, adjusting color temperature, beam angle, and intensity to create inviting, comfortable spaces for social interaction. Complementing this, the Bogotá Round surface luminaire, also by Hofflights, was strategically placed to provide key light points while maintaining harmony with its minimalist, linear design.
For the bedrooms, we selected Laos luminaires by Hofflights, offering soft and even general lighting, essential for creating a relaxing atmosphere conducive to rest.
Through this thoughtful combination of luminaires, we enriched the user experience, creating warm, dynamic environments.
