Located in the Marina harbor in front of Ibiza Botafoch, the newly opened restaurant “A Son de Mar” offers the possibility to enjoy an exceptional gastronomic experience next to a spectaculars views of the old town of the island.
The lighting project, developed by Llums Stucco, aimed mainly to get different lighting environment on the restaurant, paying special attention to the energy efficiency.
One of the areas lighted with Grupo MCI product is the beamed oak roof located on the top of the large windows from the restaurant. The projector Spot 79, from the Big White catalogue, is used to create indirect lighting effect.
90 to 100% of the light from indirect lighting is directed toward the ceiling and then distributed in the atmosphere by reflection from surfaces: roofs, walls, etc. This type of lighting is used to get a cosy atmosphere and comfortable lighting.
To create a direct/indirect lighting environment for the outdoor area and to highlight the entry and the exterior columns of the restaurant, our wall light up-down Astina Out ESL was installed. This kind of fixture is specially designed for outdoor use, due to its IP44 rated which makes it resistant to rain, sand and moisture. This kind of fixture is perfect to highlight porches, interior courtyards, wall gardens and bathrooms. Astina is also very useful for indoor areas.
