Light as Architectural Language

At Grupo MCI, through our brand MCI LIGHT, we transformed the façade of the Hotel Puerta Santander into a dynamic and evolving visual experience. In collaboration with Ilu Proyectos, we developed a precise lighting intervention that enhances the building’s formal sobriety through a digitally controlled luminous skin.

We implemented SmartLedFlex RGBW Pixel, our flexible linear lighting solution with individual pixel control, capable of creating smooth transitions from neutral and warm tones to more dynamic chromatic nuances. This chromatic versatility redefines the architectural perception without altering the geometry or materiality.

The system integrates seamlessly, preserving the formal purity of the façade. Thanks to DMX control, the lighting adapts in real time to the urban context, turning the hotel into a responsive visual element one that engages in silent dialogue with its surroundings.
